Wayne Brown and the VJB return to Dean Street in an exclusive live performance from the new album ‘Cloud 9’. They are joined by a very special guest, Grammy award-winning singer Junior Giscombe, who first hit the charts in 1982 with the infectious anthem ‘Mama Used To Say’ which became a transatlantic hit, earning him Billboard’s ‘Best Newcomer Award’ presented by the legendary James Brown. Junior, Wayne and the VJB present a gorgeous blend of jazz, Latin, funk and the blue – the show will be full of exuberance and surprises.
Wayne brown is a superb pianist and widely regarded as the UK’s answer to Ramsey Lewis – with his trademark luscious blend of intoxicating vocals and compelling rhythms. Wayne is an artist with impeccable credentials, having collaborated with a wide and diverse array of artists as both as a writer, producer and musician and notched up several million record sales with artists including Billy Ocean, Ruby Turner, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Winwood, Jonathon Butler, George Michael, Nareena Pallot, Junior Giscombe, Janet Kay, Lulu, Alisha’s Attic – as well as playing with jazz greats such as Coleman Hawkins and Tal Farlow.
